I got it!!

Thanks for your prayers ya'll!! The interviews went really great and I walked away with 2 JOBS!!!! My interview at Sears was really good and he hired me right on the spot. I had to take a Drug Test so I'm just waiting right now for my test results to come in so I can start. My interview with Bath & Body Works was super easy and fun and she liked me right away. She hired me on the spot as well for a Part-Time position (Sears is a full time position), but I'm just waiting now for her to contact my references as a backup check and then I can go in for orientation. I have a feeling that I'll be starting both jobs by monday so I'll be super busy from here on out! Which is a good thing because I prefer staying busy! =) Praise God for His many many blessings!!! He's so good ALL the time!!!

Job updates!!

Well keep me in prayer ya'll!!! I went to the Mall about 30min away in Erie, PA yesterday job hunting and found that nearly every store inside is hiring!! So I went and put my application in at several different stores and got back some pretty exciting results!!! After briefly talking to a couple managers I was able to get 2 interviews for tomorrow night. 1) at Sears for a cashier position at 4:00pm and 2) at Bath & Body Works at 5:30pm. I also am gonna go a bit early to try to hook up an interview at Picture People. I applied there and they are pretty desperate for more help, but were way too busy to talk to the manager at the time so I'm gonna try tomorrow. I personally would LOVE to work at Picture People!!! Taking people's pics with super nice cameras....yeah way awesome!! =) So anyways...please keep me in prayer around those times during the interview that things will go well and I'll get hired! With me not having previous "job" experience they may be wary of hiring me, but hopefully they'll understand the reasons why I've been unemployed the last 7 years being in the ministry. =)

BREAKING NEWS!!!!!!!!

Well it's official and finalized!!! The Evangelist Dave Karpenko Family is no more. Last night the vote was unanimous from Bible Believers Baptist Church in Corry, PA and now my dad is officially a PASTOR!!!!! =) No more travelling! It hasn't really sunk in yet, but we're gettin there. So we are now residing in the little town of Corry,PA which is about 20min from Erie.

I am now on the job hunt. Please pray that I'll be able to get one very soon as I am needing to get my own car and start saving for College. Yes I'm going to college!!! =) Its been something that I've wanted to do for a while now and I've decided to go ahead and go starting next fall! I'm going to Surry Community College (SCC) in Dobson, NC for Cosmetology and will room with Chris (my brother) while there. I'm planning on working here thru the Fall/Winter/Spring and then move to NC next summer to get settled in and prepare for classes in the fall. =) I'm very excited about it! It'll be a little strange not living at home anymore, but it's about time I move on and make a life for myself as I'm not gettin any younger (lol). Yes, I'll be living in the same town as Nathan, but I'm not as neive as I was back then and I've matured quite a bit thru this experience. I also look at it like this : I wasn't the one who left...he did and even if it WAS the other way around I still love mount airy and have many wonderful friends there and that's not gonna change just because my ex lives there. God is in control and I'm perfectly content being single and am confident in making a life for myself and moving on! =) (which btw...that is a VERY incredible feeling!!! I recommend ALL single girls find that peace and contentment in their life!!!!) I'm very happy and GOD is SOOO good ALL the time (even when its hard)!!!!! I'm so blessed!!!!! =)

Highlights!

Monday I decided to do something spontaneous and get highlights! :) So with the help of my mom I used a "do-it-yourself" kit by Garnier. It didn't come out quite like I wanted them, but it's ok. My hair looks super redder than it was. It's kinda funny. Anyways, here are some pics. :)

Shoppin!

Today started out really rough with some pretty upsetting and hurtful news, so I decided to get out and do something fun to get my mind off of it. I went shopping! haha :) My brothers had to go get some jeans anyways so I figured now was as good a time as any and we went, picked up our "cousins" Mike and Julia Giardino, and went to Plato's Closet and the Mall. We had a blast and it def. did wonders for my mood. I'm a terrible shopper...haha...I have this problem that when I finally have decent spending money I cant ever seem to find anything for myself. Today sorta was that way too, but I did find myself a pair of pj pants and a super cute polka dot layering tank top. I also found Suzi an adorable sun dress! I do believe shopping is a great stress reliever mostly when done with a group of friends just wanting to have a good time! :) Thanks ya'll! You're the best!

Trying to continue to trust God and find rest and peace in Him!! Keep praying for me as I still am fighting my emotions. Some days are harder than others, but in Christ, who is my strength, hope, and help, I will find comfort!!!
